Jakarta, 03 August 2023 – According to the information disclosure report presented by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), President Director and controlling shareholder of PT Idea Indonesia Akademi Tbk (IDEA), Eko Desriyanto is known to have purchased shares in a significant amount in the July 2023 period .
Eko buys shares gradually. A total of 340,230,900 pieces have been purchased with prices ranging from IDR 90 – IDR 119. Transactions were made 5 times from July 14 to July 24. This purchase transaction made Eko have to dig deeply into his pocket of at least 37 billion Rupiah.
In a direct statement, Eko Desriyanto stated that the purchase of the shares was aimed at direct investment. “The purchase transaction is for investment, the majority of the purchase of shares is made through the negotiation market and partly through the regular market.” said Eko in his official statement, Tuesday (7/25).
With this transaction, Eko Desriyanto’s share ownership status of IDEA shares increased to 379,793,800 shares. This amount is equivalent to 35.75% from the previous 3.72%.
This share purchase transaction also resulted in a change in the composition of IDEA’s share ownership, resulting in a change in the order of ownership. Until now, PT Idea Asia Investama owns 509,544,100 shares or 47.96%, Eko Desriyanto owns 379,793,800 shares or 35.75%, and the public 173,099,600 shares or 16.29%.
This is not the first time Eko has purchased shares in large quantities. In the previous period, in August and September 2022 to be precise, Eko bought up to 19 million IDEA shares with the aim of direct share ownership.
As is well known, PT Idea Indonesia Tbk conducted an IPO (Initial Public Offering) or initial public offering of shares in 2021 with a total value of funds raised of 29.7 billion.
IDEA has several subsidiaries whose main business synergy. One of them, PT Aidia Indonesia Propertindo, which owns and operates Hotel Aidia Grande and Thuba Resto in Metro, Lampung. In 2022, Aidia Grande Hotel has also completed adding rooms and facilities such as a swimming pool, gym and adding meeting rooms.
In November 2022, IDEA expanded its scope by opening its third training branch in the city of Semarang, Central Java. Previously in the city of Surabaya, East Java, to provide for the large demand for labor in the tourism sector. With the addition of new training branches in Semarang, Surabaya and the addition of rooms and facilities at the Aidia Grande Hotel, it can contribute more revenue, as well as a strategic step in welcoming the growth of the tourism sector after Covid-19.
