PT IDeA Indonesia Akademi Tbk (the “Company”) is a leading company providing non-formal vocational education services in the fields of hospitality, culinary, pastry – bakery and creative economy. The Company also has two subsidiaries, namely PT Aidia Indonesia Propertindo which owns and operates Aidia Grande Hotel, a three-star equivalent hotel located in Metro City, Lampung. And PT Idea Hospitality Management (IHM) a company in the field of hotel operators prepared for the Company’s business expansion.
The Company is a transformation of the Hospitality Training Institute which was established in 2009. In 2019, the Company was awarded as the best provider of vocational education services in the field of hospitality at the national level by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. A year later, in September 2020, the Company was also designated as an industry-standard vocational education institution that integrates the vocational education system with hotel operations as a Teaching Factory.
From data released by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Indonesia, out of 17,000 Non-Degree (Non-Formal) Vocational Education in Indonesia, the Company is recorded as the top in terms of the number of registrants and trainees. The growth of the Company’s offline training business in the future will be carried out through the expansion of branch openings that are integrated with hotels as Teaching Factories throughout Indonesia. In addition to offline training, the Company has also adapted the needs of digitizing its educational methods, by building a Hybrid Learning education platform, a training method that combines online learning with work practices in hotel chain chains in collaboration with the Company, with the Company’s reach hybrid learning being unlimited.
In order to accommodate graduates of its education, in order to improve the quality of graduates and the absorption of graduate work, the Company has collaborated with many national and international hotel brands, restaurants, cruise ships, and other general companies.
The growth of tourism and all its supporting sectors is predicted to rise in 2022. Thus, the needs of vocational education graduates in the field of hospitality and creative economy will increase. There are 3.7 million annually high school / vocational school graduates in Indonesia who have the potential to take part in job training and entrepreneurship in the field of hospitality and creative economy. With the combination of industry-based offline education and a hybrid learning platform that has been prepared, IDEA is optimistic that it can absorb the maximum potential market that exists.
